An Ultra Endurance Athlete from Wales

Rhys fell in love with running in 2006 and it soon evolved into ultra endurance.

Skip forward a few years and his ultra endurance journey has taken him across America by foot and bike (on multiple occasions), along the Wales Coast Path, into the extreme heat of Death Valley, the frozen tundra of Iceland and a trip to White House to name but a few places and achievements.

Now Rhys has his mind set on breaking the world record for running the full 1,000 miles of the UK whilst summiting the National Three Peaks.

First Ever Welshman To Complete Badwater 135 – A 10 year dream became a reality in 2019

Back in 2010 Rhys heard about an insane race that went 135 miles through the hottest place on earth – Badwater 135.

After 10 years of working on his running skills and experience, in 2019 he was chosen to run the world’s toughest footrace. In completing the 135 blistering hot miles from Badwater Basin to Mount Whitney he became the first ever Welshman to finish the race.

World Record Holder for the fastest known time to run the full 870 miles of the Wales Coast Path.

Being a proud Welshman, the Wales Coast Path had always been on Rhys’ radar and in 2020 ran the full length of the path in 20 days, 10 hours and 36 minutes – therefore taking the world record for the fastest known time.
